Vuzix Partners With US Distributor CES, Nets Six-Figure Order for LX1 Smart Glasses

On October 27, US smart glasses maker Vuzix announced a distribution agreement with Commercial Electronics Systems (CES), a Denver-based value-added distributor, along with a six-figure initial order for the Vuzix LX1 smart glasses that Vuzix has already begun shipping. With more than 20 years serving commercial clients in security, fire safety, and related technology infrastructure, CES will promote the LX1 in the US market and fold it into its newly formed Automation and Intelligent Infrastructure business unit, targeting hands-free information access, remote technical support, and digital workflows. CES CEO Gary Smith said the partnership will help the company expand its automation business and bring more intelligent solutions to existing customers, while Vuzix CEO Paul Travers noted CES aims to build a broader automation business around customer needs beyond simply distributing smart glasses.

据介绍，CES客户Merge Solutions正在通过其MERGE POV第一视角系统，将Vuzix M400应用于医疗场景。Merge Solutions表示，M400智能眼镜已在多次外科手术过程中投入使用，包括实时传输X射线影像。此外，配套的MergeViewer软件还支持远程医疗设备代表独立控制各台M400的麦克风、扬声器及摄像头，为手术过程中的远程协作提供支持。Vuzix表示，此次CES分销合作及Merge Solutions医疗应用案例，体现了公司拓展企业级市场的两种方向：一方面通过渠道合作伙伴扩大客户覆盖范围，另一方面依托技术合作伙伴开发面向特定行业的智能眼镜解决方案。
